Prospective Board Members
- Mike Fekety would like to get re-elected to the Naperville Little League Baseball (NLLB) Board of Directors (BOD.) Mike has been a Naperville resident for over 30 years, and has been an active participant of NLLB for the last 15+ years. He has 4 boys which have all participated in NLLB - from Little League to Majors. Mike has been on the NLLB BOD for 3 years. where he has been director of the American League and is now the current Treasurer (American League; Non-Coach).
- Dylan Morgan - I have been volunteering in Naperville Little League since 2012 in various capacities. I have managed, coached, served as umpire coordinator and most recently as the Continental League Director in 2015. I also served as the Vice President of Naperville Little League in 2015 (Continental League; Coach)
- Rob Manker - I've managed and coached in Naperville Little League for three years and am completing my first year on the Board of Directors. My two sons both play Little League Baseball - one in Majors and one in Class A - and they along with my daughter all attend District 203 schools. I'm proud to have had a hand in upgrading our Majors program for 2016, instituting summer tryouts and drafts for our drafted leagues, and constructing Fall Ball teams in a manner that lets summer teammates play together in the fall instructional environment as well. I've also played a role in improving our communications and marketing efforts. If elected to another year on the board, this would be a continued area of emphasis for me, along with helping work toward the acquisition of an indoor training facility. Thank you for supporting Naperville Little League Baseball. (Continental League, Coach)
- Mike Czuba. I have lived in the Naperville area since 1976. I was happy to play in Naperville Little League as a kid and now am honored to be a Manager of a Supreme team and sit on the Board of Directors. I believe that there should be transparency in everything we do. Our families and members depend on us to make decisions with the best interest of our community in mind and set a course of success that follows the rules and does the right things...always. Communication has been an issue with the National League in the past. I joined the board because I thought it was better to get involved and fix something, then it was to complain to others about it. I feel that participating as a coach and sitting on the board is not a right, but an honor that I take very seriously. We are making strides in improving our product, across the board. We are actively recruiting new members of the board and new coaches and managers. These are the activities that we need to continue to stay consistent with. This will take us into the future as the premier youth baseball league in Naperville. It is all about the kids. (National League; Coach).
- Jeff Dorjath would like to serve the members of Naperville Little League Baseball (NLLB) by serving as a member of the NLLB Board of Directors. I’ve been a Naperville resident for 18+ years. For the past 8 years, I’ve served on the Board of Directors for both the Naperville Diamonds travel fastpitch softball organization (Vice President of Leagues) and Southwest Suburban Fastpitch Softball Association (VP of In House Leagues). I’ve also been manager of a Diamonds travel team from 2006-2015. Our Diamonds Board most recently accomplished the lease and opening of “The Diamond Mine”, an indoor training facility in SW Naperville. With NLLB, I’ve managed a fall ball team (2014) and have been an assistant coach on my sons Supreme team (summer and fall 2015). (American League; Non-Coach).
- Aaron Sax. I have been volunteering in Naperville Little League since 2012 . I have managed, coached, served as umpire coordinator and most recently as the Safety Officer in 2015. I love working with our league and making our chlidren's baseball experience something they will remember for a long time. I currently live and work within our Republic borders. I have managed one of our supreme teams and will be working in our majors division for the 2016 season (Republic League;Coach).
- David Ramsey. I am the father of 2 boys ages 6 and 5 and have been a Naperville resident since shortly after my birth in 1976. I went to the University of California at Berkeley for a few years after high school then returned to Naperville. When I was a kid at the age of 5 my father, a now retired radiologist, along with several of his partners purchased into the general partnership of the Chicago White Sox. Ever since then I was enamored with the sport and have always been watching a lot of baseball many games. Playing little league 3 decades ago was the most fun I ever had and of course the memories last a lifetime when the program is as well organized as it has been. When I was 9 years old I was diagnosed with a rare childhood hip disease called Aespetic Necrosis which limited my growth and meant I had to be off weight bearing and have a major surgery. This limited my ability to play sports as well as my physical development. I followed the sport closely always and after college I became heavily involved with recreational baseball. For the past 10 years I have been coaching teams and I currently have a team in the 25 and over mens baseball fall league that I manage. We also played in additional summer leagues with Larry Kolcz MSL, and other local leagues in Aurora. With my children becoming engaged with youth sports such as hockey, soccer, and now little league baseball I see the incredibly important role parents have in their children's physical and individual confidence development, character building, and understanding team concepts, as well as support and encouragement of others along with good sportsmanship. I have been working in hospitality and fitness training since my college days, and feel I have a lot of life perspective as well as analytic and motivational energy to assist with direction of youths. This year 2015 I have umpired over 200 games at all levels from 8u up to high school and 18 and over and it allows me to refresh the developmental differences of players at all levels and abilities. I truly enjoy being around the game of baseball in any capacity. It would be my pleasure to become involved with a youth organizational program and because of my lifelong passion for the sport of baseball I feel little league baseball would be a great fit for my energy and attentiveness. I hope I can be of some assistance to your noble efforts to run this program as well as it has been going for so many years. Thank you for your time and consideration. (American League: Non-Coach)
- Bill Lehman. I have been coaching and managing in NLL going on 8 years from 8YR through Majors and 12U All-stars including being a Supreme and Majors Manager. I have served for one year on the NLL Board of Directors and took over as Republic League Director - about half way through the 2015 Spring Season. In addition to NLL Baseball, I also am a head coach for a Saint Raphael Football, Bandit division team (8th year coaching SRF Football), I also am a head coach for WAA Competitive Basketball and help coach hockey as well. I have been around youth sports for about 10 years and very much enjoy being part of providing a fun, learning, competitive environment for kids in sports. I am also a very active volunteer with Ducks Unlimited, a non-for-profit conservation organization. I currently have a 9 year old playing in Supremes and my oldest son, 13, played from 8 to 12 in NLL. (Republic League; Coach).
- Mark Kranz. I would like to be considered for the NLLB Board of Directors. I am currently managing a Fall team and have coached my oldest son in NLLB every season since Fall 2013. I have two younger sons who will soon enter the program. I also have coached youth soccer for the past 5 years. Our family has lived in Naperville for 13 years. I grew up on a baseball field with my father, Steve Kranz, who managed all levels of baseball from youth to college, for over 30 years. He was most recently asked to coach with the legendary coach Gordie Gilliespie before they both retired just a few years ago. Our job as coaches and parents is to teach the game. We are baseball teachers. Baseball is more than just hitting, pitching and fielding. It is the most cerebral of all major sports. If we can teach our sons not only the fundamentals, but all of the little things on and off the field, we have done our part. One thing I notice on the field is that many of these kids are under too much pressure when they are playing. Parents and coaches need to make it fun. That is why we played sports as kids. Let's make it fun for them, and educate them on the game as well. I appreciate your consideration. (Continental League, Coaching).
- Robert Bava - I am a resident of the Cress Creek Subdivision ( North Naperville) since 1972. I am a graduate of Naperville North, Jefferson Junior High and Mill Street Schools. I am very active in the Naperville sports programs as a coach, volunteer and parent. I am also active in the Naperville District 203 as a parent, advisor and my wife Beth is active as a School fund raiser/volunteer. I have my son Zach (Mill Street) in 3rd Grade and Grace (Jefferson) in 7th Grade. I have worked for Ricoh Corporation for 13 years and current support their largest US reseller, CDW! The Ricoh CDW team requires me to reside in Chicagoland but allows me some work flexibility to be involved in area programs! Finally, I will represent the National League professionally and work diligently to ensure a strong experience for the children of Little League (National League; Non-Coach).
- Laura Grimes - I have lived in Naperville for over thirty years and I am a parent of two students in the Naperville school system. I have supported Little League for the past three years (National League) and feel I would have valuable input to the Board and the League’s direction from a different perspective. That being a non-coach female parent. I have paid close attention to the processes of the League and feel I could offer some representation from another angle. I think it is important for the Board to responsibly look at all options in decision making, with the end goal resulting in a League that the kids are proud to be part of and managed in a way that sets a good example to all of the children. And, has clear and concise communication with the parents, giving them assurance that their families are participating in a league with high integrity (National League; Non-Coach).
- Mike Stroker - As a Naperville resident for over 9 years it’s important to me that community organizations like NLLB prosper and serve as a benchmark for athletic development, friendship, and community activism. For the past 2 years I’ve served as a manager in the “A” and Supreme divisions while also coaching the 8U and 9U All-Star teams. As a member of the Board of Directors, I’d like to help make NLLB the most recognizable and trusted brand for youth baseball in our community. Early in my career I held a senior leadership position at a sports management company offering recreational sports leagues and tournaments to young professionals in 22 cities nationwide. I believe my experience with sponsorship, facilities, staffing, equipment, registration and scheduling along with my 20 years of general corporate management is a natural fit for the Board of Directors. Thanks for your consideration. (Continental League; Coach).
- Chad Strieter - I have been on the Board for 2 terms; one as a voting member and the other as Director of the Continental League. I have 2 boys in the program; one in Majors and one in Supreme. I coached or managed both boys' teams every season (spring, summer and fall) for the past 4 years. Next spring, I will be managing a Majors team as well as the 11u Sunday extra baseball team. (Continental, coaching)
